I have been coming to this bar for ever since graduating from my first masters in 2002 and although I love the Jello Shots, after 10 years the pudding shots are even better. Way to keep it going with innovative ideas and the cheap food specials such as Monday chili dog night, taco Tuesday, buffalo chicken quesadilla on Thursdays and fish and chip Fridays. Plus the staff is great! Veronica, Courtney, Irish Deb, David and the rest!

Really great, drinks are good, fast service and nice bartenders, and people there are friendly even if you don't know them. Best local bar I've ever been to, just wish I had gone more often while I was living near there.

I'm not entirely sure what it is about this place but it's fantastic. So far it's the best bar I've found to have a good time at. There's a great mix of people. The couple of times I've gone here it's been pretty packed. However, when it's packed it doesn't feel packed. It's a good space. It also helps that I've won big on the slot machines both times I've visited. I would definitely recommend.

Some folks may consider Scooters to be a bit on the dive bar side of the spectrum but it really isn't a true dive. It's far too clean and the food too good.
They have a daily happy hour special and my favorite the fish and chips special on Friday's which, by the way comes with a nice side of clam chowder. Scooters does fish and chips right.
The folks working there are sweet as can be and know how to pour a good drink. Deb, is possibly the best bartender in Portland. She can singlehandedly manage a full bar and not miss a beat. If it's ever quiet in there you can hear her charming Irish lilt.
I would be remiss if I didn't mention how awesome the Jello-shots are. On my birthday Deb always brings me a special Jello-shot with whipped cream and sprinkles.
I am truly blessed to be within walking distance of this place. So you betcha I'm giving them 5 stars.
